Please suggest a paint color for our living room (pics)

So we just finished painting our kitchen/dining room area BM 'Indian River'. We absolutely love it!
Our kitchen/dining area opens into the living room, which is what we'll be painting next. I just have no idea what color to paint it! At first I was thinking of doing a beige-type color but now I'm thinking that wont look so great next to the more clay color tone of the Indian River. I'm just having a hard time picturing it all together and need suggestions.

Here's a pic of a room (not ours) painted in Indian River, just to give you an idea of the color.


Here is a cr@ppy cell phone pic of our living room. The couches are dark blue along with the drapes. The pillows are chocolate brown and cream color. The furniture is Espresso color. We'll be replacing the couches sometime this year and will probably end up getting something very neutral, in the brown/beige family.

doesn't BMlet you make the color lighter or darker?? Maybe you can go one or two shade lighter but in the same tone
