Please talk me down from the ledge - I'm a wreck...
I have been complaining to my gyno that my periods have been somewhat irregular (anywhere from 21 to 30 days) and that I feel hormonal more often than not. He sent me for a sono and bloodwork a week ago Friday. The sono technician was very friendly and when I went to leave she told me not to worry that everything looked fine (she knew I was nervous). Today, 10 days later, I get a phone call from one of the secretaries in the office that he wants to see me on the 11th to go over my results. I'm freaking because I'm so afraid something is really wrong being that he wants to see me. Has anyone experienced anything like this -- where the doctor called them to come in for results and they were all worried and it wasn't that bad? If it were something really serious would he have me come in right away? I'm such a hypochondriac which makes this all so much worse. I'm totally in an anxiety attack right now.
Anyway, I asked the secretary if everything was alright and of course she couldn't tell me anything, so I asked for them to have him call me.

Lately I'm hearing more and more of doctor's wanting to schedule an appointment to talk. I bet its just so he can bill another visit. Try to stay calm.

My old gyno did this to me after a pap. Called me in to go over the results, told me there were some irregular cells. Scheduled me for more tests ect. It turns out I had the pap at the beginning of my pregnancy and had an extremely mild yeast infection that I noticed a few days after the exam. It could be nothing or it could be something. Either way the most important thing you can do is go and talk with your doctor. Try not to stress too much.

try not to stress to much. I had a sono done in march and my dr saw some irregularities and I had to get another one done at a different point in my cycle. So dont worry too much it could be a million and one things and most are not serious.
