Please tell me how much your newborn eats....
Gavin is up to 5 ounces, pushing 6 sometimes....
During the day he eats every 3-4 hours and at night every 4-5 hours.
He's already 10 pounds at 1 month!!!!!
Am I feeding him too much?

At 1 month, DS was not getting bottles, I was EBF so I don't know how much he was getting. However, he was eating about 8-10 times a day.
And at 1 month, my DS was 11 pounds, 10 ounces... so don't feel bad!
I asked my doctor if he was gaining too much weight and she was not concerned.... which made me not concerned!
If you are worried, you can ask your doctor!

Melanie will be 3 weeks tomorrow she eats 3.5 ounces every 3 hours from 6am-8pm
She goes to bed at 8pm and will then wake at 2am for 3.5 ounces and goes back till bed till 6am.
She is bit over 8lbs and was 7.1 at birth

I believe at 1 month my son was eating around the same. I've read (on here) you can't overfeed a newborn.
It's great that he goes 4-5 hrs at night. If he goes longer let him sleep. He is chunky enough to handle it

My DD is 4 weeks old today. She eats between 3-4 ounces every 2 hours....even at night. She was born 7.5 left the hospital at 7 even and when I took her to the dr on Saturday she was 8lbs 14oz. She gained 14oz in a week in a half. The dr. told me newborns need to be fed on demand so I don't think you can overfeed him. You're lucky he goes 4-5 hours at night though....I'm jealous

My DS was eating like 3.5 ounces at that age i believe. He was EBF though but sometimes I would give him a bottle of expressed BM and he only took 3.5 ounces.

At weeks my youngest ate 3 ounces every 2 hours, she was about 10lbs too, was born 7lbs 9oz's. At 4 weeks she was sleeping 7-8 hours a night swaddled.
