Please tell me I am doing the right thing....
In case anyone hasnt read my previous posts- Long story short my beta went from 15-16-19 over the past 5 days (never doubled)....When I got my 19 beta back today, the RE who was on duty told the nurse to continue me on my PIO and estrogen and re-test while Im away in Fla. Wednesday...At my follow-up consult last night, my regualr RE had said that if they didnt double, he would have me stop meds in the hopes that my levels start going down (if it is a chemical, which it seems like it may be)...The fact that I was continuing my meds did not sit right w/ me because I felt as though it was just sustaining a non viable pg so I contacted my regular RE at his other office- He wasnt aware of my newest results and said that he feels we SHOULD stop my meds- He called over to his other office where I was seen today and the doc had left so he consulted with the head RE who also agreed...I asked him why the RE on duty today would have had me continue and he said that he guesses she was trying to be "optimistic"- I again confirmed with him that this was 0 to none chance of a healthy pg. and he said no...Please tell me I did the right thing by 2nd guessing the other RE's decision- I don't like to feel like I messed with fate and could never live with myself if I did something to hurt this pg...But with #'s like that,2 RE's telling me its a definiate no go- I cant help but know it would not have had a good outcome and may have put me at risk...He is still having me get a follow up beta while in Florida though, in the hopes that my levels drop...I just want so badly to be able to make a fresh start with a new cycle...Sorry for the long rant- Im so confused right now and just want to know I did the right thing

You absolutely did the right thing. You went with your get and advocated for yourself and your RE who knows you agreed. If the beta only increased by 4 in a 24-48 hour period then it wasn't viable. Please don't beat yourself up. Try to relax and enjoy your vacation. You can come back and start anew. Please don't feel badly.

You absolutely did the right thing...I would be very concerned that your own RE didn't even know the results of your tests. My RE always called me personally with the results of my blood tests, even if he wasn't the one who saw me.

You did the right thing. You would have just been prolonging the inevitable by taking the meds.

Re: Please tell me I am doing the right thing....
No that it matters much- but I just found out from my RE office, that it wasn't one of the doctors that made the call to keep me on the meds, it was the NP that was on- I spoke to her directly today and she said she was following normal protocol for risng betas (I guess, all that was in her power was to not change anything without a doctors order, which he didnt specify in my written plan)...She was very apologetic for my confusion, but I understand that she was doing what she thought she should be doing...So, now at least I know that it was a NP not an RE who made the decision, and that kind of makes me feel better, that I followed up with him...Thanks for all your support guys

You did the right thing and you shouldn't feel guilty about it. I really hope you are able to enjoy yourself in Florida with all this hanging over your head, I'm so sorry you have to go though it
