Please tell me I'm not the only one.
I am STILL sick with a horrible cough and stuffed head. I slept for 3 hours last night because of my cough. I have not had a moment to myself today where I could call my doctor, and to be honest, I hate calling over everything. I know this is just an upper respiratory infection, and there's not much she could do for me anyway. So I decided to take Triaminic cough syrup. I know I shouldn't take anythign without consulting my doctor, but I am really not the type to freak out and call my doctor over everything. I checked all the ingredients on the FDA website to make sure they were safe for pregnant women, and they all were. But I feel so guilty for doing this. I feel like I should be trying to fight this cold without medication or else I'm a bad mom-to-be. I don't know. I just hate feeling like I want to take care of myself depsite the baby growing inside of me.

Honey I had it for 3 weeks and just got better this week. I didn't want to take anything regardless of the Dr's ok(just some tylenol). I am telling you a humidifier and Vicks Vaporub helped tremendously. I hope you feel better XO

Its normal to want to take care of yourself too. The more healthy you are, the safer your baby is. I was so sick last week- I took Tylenol only. I'm sure it will be fine. My doctor told me if I wanted to, I could take almost any OTC medication now and the baby will be fine. Dont' worry. It will all be fine. Just take care of yourself!

You're not alone. I'm suffering as we speak. And all I took was a couple of cough drops day before yesterday only to read the package after and discovery you're not supposed to take them when pregnant. Wonderful, can't even use cough drops.

you are not the only one. I am still sick with it. The Dr. told me to only take tylenol if I had a fever...but I have taken one each night for the past 3 nights, just so I can sleep with out coughing, and blowing my nose constantly. I also take a saline solutiion for my stuffy nose and theat helps a lot.
