Please tell me I'm not the only one who is suddendly getting an obscene amount of phone calls at home for advertisements, surveys, etc...

This is borderline harassment! Over the past few months my home phone is ringing every 15 minutes practically with calls asking for us to take surveys, elections, advertising, etc. What is going on and how do I put an end to this FAST? I've become a raging lunatic on the other line. At first I was screening the calls and then out of frustration I decided to answer some. I've said we're not interested and then the same phone numbers keep popping up!

I am on the Do Not Call list also, yet get these calls anyway. Two weeks ago I was getting a call every single night from Sienna College surveys. I asked several times to be removed from their list. I hope someone finally did it, but I won't hold my breath.

Soooo many Zeldin vs Bishop surveys and political robo calls, too. At this point, I am sick of them. I don't want either guy to get in :(

Me too! It's absolutely nuts! I am on the Do Not Call registry also, but I think that politicians and surveys are still allowed to call you. Annoying!

I don't even bother picking the phone up anymore.

And yes, political and surveys aren't impacted by the Do Not Call list.

I just don't answer.
Let them keep calling.
They eventually get the hint.

Sometimes, if I am really cranky, I will pick it up and say, "thank you for calling applebee's, now featuring car side carry out, this is Amy, how can i help you?"

They usually never call back after that.

I have been getting lots of survey calls in the last few months. I occasionally will pick up just to find out who has been calling every night at dinner time. Sometimes when I see it's "unavailable" I just pick up and hang up on them. That seems to stop some of them.
