Please tell me I'm not the only person who does this... forgetting about laundry

So last night I went to the laundry room to do a quick wash... and I opened up the washer and there were towels (still wet) from when I did the wash on Sunday!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon they smelled SOO bad and were almost moldy Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon So I had to redo the wash, and they came out fine.

Ummm...yeah, I'm guilty of this all the time. In fact, DH refers to our basement as "laundry Pompeii" where you can see various stages of laundry completion as if frozen in time. Chat Icon

A few times I have forgotten detergent and then have to do it all over again.

This is the reason I'm SO glad that we have a combo washer/dryer. It goes right from the wash cycle to the dry cycle and I don't even have to worry about it. I know that I'd completely forget about it otherwise! Chat Icon

Yup - happens ALL the time. We go down, throw a load in, forget about it. Then on the weekend I go to do more and YUCK!!

So I rewash everything and sometimes it still doesn't help the smell.

OH! You reminded me that I have clothes in the dryer for about 5 days now. Imagine how badly wrinkled they are!

Um, I once left a load in the dryer. No biggie, but it was the dryer at the laundromat.

And currently there are towels that have been sitting in the dryer in my house for two days. I waver between forgetting and just being that lazy. Chat Icon

I have forgotten stuff in the washer too.

always.

I had clothes in the dryer for about a week before I realized they were in there.
