Please tell me what it should cost for to hire a photographer to work a 4 hour party
I have a friend of family that is willing to photograph my mom's bday but I don't know what's fair. She will do it for $350 which seems like a lot of to a person that doesn't hire photographers for parties but maybe it isn't, kwim? So I thought I'd ask here b/c I know there are people who used them for christenings or 1st bdays.

I've been quoted $100 an hour for the first hour and anywhere from $50-$75 per hour after the 1st hours.

I so wanted to book a photographer for my girls' b-day party at Nunley's, but I never looked into it because I was nervous it would be too expensive.
I just know I am going to get blurry shots when the carousel is in motion

From my experience the shooting fee can be $200-$400. The purchase of the images and time for editing is what makes the price very high. Many photographers spend hours editing and organizing photos which is where the fees begin to add up.
