Re: Pls. recommend your All Inclusive Resort in the Riviera Maya
If you are looking for anti-recommendations I have to say we were really disappointed in Excellence Riviera Maya. We didn't feel like we got what we paid for.
If you are looking for mid-range, price-wise, we also stayed at the Palladium resort there and really enjoyed it. Good value.

Re: Pls. recommend your All Inclusive Resort in the Riviera Maya
My sister is currently staying at Excellence for her honeymoon. She won't be back for ten days, but I'll ask her how it was when she gets back!

Re: Pls. recommend your All Inclusive Resort in the Riviera Maya
Palace resort's Aventura Spa palace. We stayed there on our honeymoon and LOVED it. The added perk is you can use the other Palace resorts facilities--- we went to 2 other resorts of theres to take advantage of their different beaches and stuff... it was really nice!!! Plus it included a few tours so we went to the 'island of women' and also the Tulum mayan ruins... all included in our stay- and the food was included in those excursions as well... and always with filtered or bottled water. We also went to cozumel for a day thru their tours- which included food and your choice of things to do- we went snorkeling there and on a boat ride where we stopped to see dolphins and sea turtles at the 'island of women'. HTH!

We just got back from a week @ Excellence in Playa Mujeres - it was AMAZING and I'm not a fan of all inclusives at all. The one in Rivera Maya is supposed to be fabulous too !!

We went there last year for vacation and it was great...we did the Tulum ruins and went to a couple of their other resorts. The place was huge!

Re: Pls. recommend your All Inclusive Resort in the Riviera Maya
i've been to Excellence and absolutely adored it - never really thought I'd like an all-inclusive but it was by far the best "relaxing" vacation i've ever been on. They were also superattentive to any requests we had which was nice.

i would recommend Aventura as well. Two down sides..I thought the beds were hard and the timeshare hard sell was annoying. We unplugged our phone after the 3rd day.
Otherwise, beautiful and affordable.

You will encounter this at pretty much any Mexican resort/hotel. They all have hard matresses, though most hotels will give you a foam mattress pad if you ask, and they all (well atleats most of them) will go with the hard pressure sales tactics for timeshares.
