Re: plus size mommy's
I didn't lose weight and no one pressured me too. I have to say losing it now isn't as easy as I had hoped but I am glad I have my daughter. I've been battling my weight all my life so who knows when I would be a good weight to get pregnant.
I say do the best you can to eat well and exercise while trying but don't hold off just to lose weight.

Re: plus size mommy's
I am a plus size and the dh is a biggish guy, like a rugby player. I gave it a year for us to get pregnabt because I thought we would have fertility issues with the weight...but one great bonk later...boom a bfp!
I would just start trying. See what happens
Also, I only gained 2.5 lbs while I was pregnant and a few days after having the kid, I had to run out and buy size 14 jeans...I always wore 18/20's!!!

Re: plus size mommy's
I didn't feel pressured to loose weight bc my pg was not planned. My OB said I would probably only gain 15-20lbs. In the end, I only gained 15lbs. While I had a great pg with no complications, I would have tried to loose some weight.
It it was planned then I would have tried to loose some weight before hand. I made a promise to myself that before I get pg again, I will drop at least 50-75lbs. I am now almost 15lbs below my pre-pg weight. I've got a long way to go, but I'm definitely on track. Although the main reason to loose weight is to be healthy, I always hated the maternity options for plus size.

Re: plus size mommy's
Its a total fluke! My ribcage has also gone teensy tiny under my boobs....honestly! I am sorry!!! I kept saying to my midwife...shouldn't I have gained more weight...and I ate 5 jelly donuts a day for like 2 months...Ah well, next baby will be different!!!
I edited this just to say that I love my body full stop. I always feel really good about myself and never worry about my weght...I always think I look great...even when others don't...hmmmmmm is that a good quality??? I really really really loved my body when I was pregnant...
