Plus Size Vent...
Sorry, I have to b i t c h tonght!
So, I'm ok being fat. I am used to my wieght fluctuating and I can deal. But fat and preggo really sucks. I only have a few maternity items that I have bought online and I havent stepped foot in a maternity store bc I knew I would be depressed.
So this afternoon, I go to the mall and go to Mimi Maternity for the first time. I figure if they have any plus size clothes, they'll have like one tiny rack, but I go in anyway. Really cute stuff, of course none of it would fit me. So I ask and the lady if they carry any PS clothes and she is really nice and says no. So I buy a bra extender and at checkout she asks me if I want to be on the mailing list . I just said no thanks, but i was thinking, Lady - why the f u c k would I want to be on your mailing list if none of your clothes will fit me?? I guess she's just used to asking people that but it just made me more depressed!
Anyway, vent over! Thanks for letting me complain.

Re: Plus Size Vent...
I feel your pain. I did get a couple of tops from Old Navy at the Source Mall, but when I went into the maternity store there, the selection of maternity stuff is very small. I am still wearing a lot of my pre-preg clothes, but I am going to have to get pants soon and I am dreading it.

Totally hear you!! I think it is ridiculous that Motherhood Maternity only sells it online too, would it kill to have some stuff in the store. I have found a bunch of stuff at Sears of all places, they have a nice amount of plus sized maternity.

Re: Plus Size Vent...
For the second time (different stores) I ordered PS maternity online. For the second time I was sent the WRONG item. When I called both times they said to bring it back to the store for a refund. So all I keep doing is paying for shipping on items I didn't even order. I am so livid right now I could hurt somebody!

Re: Plus Size Vent...
I hear you! I found a few things at Mimi Maternity in their PS section. I've had luck with XXL at Target and some Old Navy maternity.

Re: Plus Size Vent...
Not sure where you live but Maternity works in the source mall ahas a small plus size section & the motherhood at the outlets in riverhead has a section as well.

Re: Plus Size Vent...
I know how you feel. I had to resort to JCPenney for a lot of my maternity clothes, and got a few at Old Navy and Motherhood/Maternity Works (very limited selection at those, though).
I'm sort of procrastinating TTC #3 because I was hoping I'd have one pregnancy where I was in "regular" sizes and could wear cute maternity clothes. Silly, I know!

Good to know - thanks! So far I have one shirt from JCP, and a few from Lane Bryant Maternity. The search continues

Re: Plus Size Vent...
If you are anywhere near Huntington, try Destination Maternity on Route 110 across from the walt whitman mall, I got some nice things there and it was the only place I could find anything that really fit well

Re: Plus Size Vent...
I know exactly how you feel. I HATE going into the stores because all the adorable outfits don't apply here. I live in alot of maternity t-shirts and I have gotten two or three beautiful dressier shirts from Lane Bryant. I can't wait for this weight to COME OFF

I can sympathize! I've found a few things at the motherhood outlet in Tanger, and a few from JC Penney...
I decided to try Fashion Bug and I found quite a few cute things there...and I didn't have to spend a lot of money on them!!
