Plus Sized Ladies

where do you normally shop?

I can never find anything that looks decent on me Chat Icon

I would also love to find some nice button down shirts that fit nicely. Being a large chested woman, I have such a hard time (even with the plus sized shirts they just don't fit right

did I mention, I'm short too? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Plus Sized Ladies

My sister shops at Avenue and Lane Bryant and always strikes gold there. She's only 5'2, so she's on the short side too.

Re: Plus Sized Ladies

I'm an Old Navy girl.

Personally... I try to stay away from button down shirts because they tend not to be flattering. I do have a few that do not pull across the chest and make the peek a boo button hole but it's rare. My two favorites are actually from Old Navy. They are tapered at the waist so they are figure flattering.

Another good tip is to buy a size to fit your biggest part and have it tailored. And since you're dropping the buck for the alterations... shop at Marshall's for lower prices. I actually found a pair of Old Navy jeans at Marshall's for $6.00!!

Good luck!

Re: Plus Sized Ladies

I shop at Lane Bryant mostly. I have a few things from avenue and I like that they are cheaper but most of their stuff isn't my style and I don't the quality is as good.

I also got fitted for bras recently and bought a few very good fitting bras, and it makes the world of a difference in how my button down shirts fit me.

I found a great place where I got my undergarments for my wedding, she fitted me for bras and yes, they do make a world of difference!
