Plus-sized Moms-to-be...where are you getting your shower dress?
I have looked at the 3 major places I can think of: Lane Bryant, Motherhood, and JcPenney. None of them have anything that I would be caught dead in.
Old Navy maternity stuff SOMETIMES fits me, but I don't have good luck unless the material is stretchy. Same thing with Target.
Help! My NY shower is on 9/20 and I have no clue what I'm going to wear.

What about going to dress barn and getting a dress in the plus sized section. I just wore pants and a shirt to my shower, but I did go there to get a dress for my DD's Christening. They have a decent selection of plus sized dresses.

Hey Beth! I got two adorable dresses at Dress Barn in the plus section for $50 total! I had never stepped foot in the store (unless you count shopping with my mom when I was little) but read on here that it had vastly improved. Anyway, they had some really cute stuff and I got these two dresses that are a stretchier material (but flowy under the boobs) and make my baby bump look so cute. Definitely give it a shot - I was just there at the end of last week.

I've been having a hard time finding one I like too. I did see this one at Lane Bryant, which is nice, but I am not in love with. It's on sale for $30 - coupon code 000202459 gives you another 20% dresses so it's only $24. I'm kinda thinking for $24 it may be worth it. hmmmmm....

I'm really getting frustrated with the selection. They have SO many cute things for "normal" sized women--why they can't just cut them a little bigger for plus sizes is beyond me.
I think I just found my new job. It's INSANE...this is 2008, right? Why can't I find anything to wear??!!

Re: Plus-sized Moms-to-be...where are you getting your shower dress?
I'm boarderline plus..... in old navy and ann taylor I am regular, and even in target or motherhood, I would be the largest regular size in a dress.
I found my dress as an online return in old navy. it was only $15 and is so flattering.
I had the luxury of time and luck on my side though. I bought it over 2 mo in advance, and just bumped into it, and could try it on in the store.
Maybe try ann taylor? they run a little large, and have gorgeous stuff....... it's worth a shot.

What about a skirt and a top or a nice pants set?
Did you look at JC Penney online? They have some nice things you could put together.

Beth, have you tried Lane Bryant? They might have a cute A-line dress, and at this time, you could probably get it on sale
