PMI question---
What is the avg PMI on a home costing 350-400K?
Also is it better to pay PMI or pay the higher interest rate by doing a split mortgage (piggy back ) since the interest can be tax deductible?

it depends on a lot of factors - how long you plan on living, what %DP are you making, do you plan on doing major renovations, etc.
