PMS related- anyone take prescription med for it?
I had an appt. with my gyn dr. and she prescribed me something (in the anti-depressant family) to take for 2 weeks before Aunt flo arrives I'm going to give it a shot. Every month it seems to be getting worse! Does anyone else take anything prescription or such?

My gyno wants me to do that. I have really bad pms & its getting worse. I am not sure about the 2 weeks on and 2 weeks of. Would that not screw up our bodies even more?

I take something for my PMS also an antidepressant. It works for me...I start 2 weeks before AF visits. I feel less anxious and emotional before AF than when I was not taking anything. Good Luck!!!

I was on Naproxen too but not anything like that. But good for you to do something about it if it's that bad - too many people just suffer for no reason.

The way my dr. explained it is that it still may take a month until it 'works' even though you keep coming off it for those 2 weeks and if it is treating PMS that you should be fine the other 2 weeks you're not on it. If not, I CAN take it all the time
