pneumonia, has anyone ever had it.......

I'm not sure if I have it, cause I only have some of the symptoms....

My upper back hurts, but I'm thinking its because of the way I slept since my neck was hurting me to and now its fine, but still have the upper back pain for a few days now.....

Fast heartbeat......(but that could be from my stess about it--lol)

Tired/less motivated

Thats the only symptoms I have that they listed.

I feel its probably all in my head since my DD just got over it, and now I'm thinking I have it. I'm so worried.

Anyone ever have it, and think I may?

I dont think I have it, I must be achey from the way I slept, I dont have a cough or fever, I feel great except for the soreness in my upper back. I just worry to much about stuff.

I had it in 5th grade after recovering from the Chicken Pox

I don't remember the symptoms...are you going to the doctor?

I am in the hospital with it right now.
The main things for me is that I lose my breath VERY easily. As in, the bathroom is 3 steps away from my bed and I am out of breath getting there.
My lungs are physically painful. I can't take a deep breath and when I try to you can hear the fluid in my lungs.

I had it when I was very young, and then I gave it to my mom somehow and she nearly died from it..but that was over 20 years ago.

when you cough you can here a crackle most of the time. little pops in the lungs when you take a deep breath or weezing , along with the pain and shortness of breath. feel better and go to the dr.!!

I had it around Christmas time.

It was sooo hard to breathe. I would walk two steps and get out of breathe. I also had a fever, and wheezing.

It started out as a cough/cold which I ignored. Eventually I became exhuasted & winded walking up the stairs. By the time I went to the doctor, my chest hurt all of the time and when I was breathing in & out every breath made a noise (wasn't as much of a wheeze as a gurgle in my lungs if that makes sense).

One thing I would say is if you suspect it, you are much better of finding out sooner rather than later. Go to the doctor now. At the very least, he can prescribe something for your cough so you can sleep better. Don't let it get to that point where you're bedridden (or worse hospitalized). I think your family met its quota for hospital visits this year.

I had it last year

Started out as a little cough, then a fever came...

It felt like a truck was sitting on my chest....and when I tried to breathe, it felt like I had been swimming for HOURS...

I fianlly went to the hospital (on Christmas Eve at 3 am) and my pulseox was 89...

I watched enough ER to know exactly what that meant

When I had it there was no doubt I was sick. Had gone to bed the night before with a bad sore throat and woke at 4:00 AM with chills and 104º fever. My doctor told me to take asprin and come in mid-day when they had an opening, took one look at me and sent me straight to the hospital. DH later mentioned he couldn't believe my doctor was still working - I didn't know what he meant until he said she was very pregnant - I hadn't even noticed, that's how bad I was! I was on oxygen with a chest tube to drain fluids, in for 6 days.

I had walking pneumonia twice, and when I coughed it felt like there were razor blades cutting the back of my throat. I was weezing, and my lungs physically hurt. I also had a fever that would not break and literally could not get out of bed for days.

I had it about 23 years ago. I had everything you are feeling now, but, I, also, ran a fever around 103. My chest felt like there was a house sitting on it and the coughing was out of control. I had to, literally, hang over the side of the bed to cough because of the pain in my chest. If you start running a fever, I would go to a doctor.
