Re: Poconos, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, AC- help!
I have never really been to the Poconos, except to ski, nor have i been to Foxwoods. I have stayed at the Borgata in AC, and thought it was nice. I have also stayed at Mohegan , and the rooms are nice there. Todd English's Tuscany Restaurant is really yummy at Mohegan. If you decide to do a GC to Mohegan, you can use it for room, food, shopping, spa etc. I have done this many, many times for family and friends. I love it because it can be used anywhere there and IMO Mohegan is lots of fun. HTH

We love going to Mohegan and stay overnight. Rooms at Mohegan are expensve so we usually stay at the Microtel or Best Western 2 minutes down the road... but for a gift I would get a room there.
The best restaurant we have found there is The Longhouse Steakhouse.. It is incredible and the service is fantastic... Deesn't even compare to Michael Jordan's steakhouse..
Also on the way home the next day, we usually outlet shopping at Clinton Crossing... great getaway weekend.

Re: Poconos, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, AC- help!
Poconos - ive stayed at one of the caesars resorts and loved it. we go back there all the time. two nights/three days middle of the road room runs about $700 but that includes meals and ALL entertainment.
ac - stayed at ballys, taj mahal and tropicana. tropicana was the best as far as entertainment and restaurants. the gift certificates at the trop can be used for room or food (including carmine's which is awesome and identical to that in manhattan).
mohegan sun / foxwoods - always feel trapped there if you're not gambling.
sorry for the lowercase but in a rush - hope this helps.

Re: Poconos, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, AC- help!
Haven't stayed at Foxwoods but just went there recently. I checked into the rooms and they were really overpriced. We stayed in Mystic and took a bus from the hotel.
In AC, we usually stay at Ballys. Mostly because they are the most generous with the free rooms. I have also stayed at Ballys, Ceasaers and Showboat. They are all okay. As for restaurants we don't usually go anywhere fancy but every hotel has a nice Italian place and steak house for those big spenders.
Let me know if you need anymore help!

When we go to Foxwoods, we stay at Cedar Park Suites just 7 miles from Foxwoods. Each room is a suite with a temperpedic bed and a jacuzzi. there is a limo that takes you to and from the casinos.
they also give u a bottle of champagne.
very romantic, we love it!

DH and I have stayed at the Poconos several times and loved it. We stayed at Caesars resorts -- they're all inclusive and romantic. They own four -- Paradise Stream is the smallest, very quaint and just renovated (though I haven't seen it since renovations.) It's my fav.

Danielle and I have stayed there twice. It is an amazing Bed and Breakfast - INN.
Its very romantic and it is right on the water. Most rooms have a fireplace and a whirlpool tub. There are a lot of restaurants to eat in the area including Mystic Pizza which is a few blocks away and the Daniel Packer inn which has amazing food. The building is over 100 years old.
Check out the rooms
