Poem help - how does this read to you?
Join our little girl, Jennifer Marie. In her winter wonderland, as she turns O-N-E.
Do you read the O-N-E as "one" or as "oh en ee"?
TIA!

'one', but I would spell it ONE, instead of O-N-E. Looks odd that way.

Re: Poem help - how does this read to you?
Maybe if you have it on separate lines, like
As she turns O N E !
No actually, after I typed it out I think that may be worse!

I read it as 1 - and then when I realized it didn't rhyme went back and read it as "Oh En Ee"

I read it o-n-e.
If you want it to rhyme can you change it up?

Re: Poem help - how does this read to you?
Are you making these yourself? Because I think you can force people to read ONE as letters if you have O, N, and E on separate signs, like if a penguin is holding up a sign. So have 3 penguins holding a sign each, one with O, one with N, one with E.
Here's an example of what I mean:

Re: Poem help - how does this read to you?
It's for my SIL... She asked me for help. The best she could come up with was rhyming 'one' with 'fun'...
Thanks Catherine for the happy bit - I'll pass that along to her - see if we can brainstorm some more.
I see what you mean with the penguins - she's verrrrrrrry particular about invites - she wants it this whole pink snowflake theme so I don't know if she'll go for separating them like that. I know she's ordering from an invite lady and she's not into cutesy stuff... Personally - I think that would be adorable!
Thanks for the help!
