Sicne I turned 18 and was eligible to vote, I became interested in local and nat'l elections. My former history teacher became a local politician while in school, but still taught and has recently stepped in for county positions and I think is heading a state position. He got me interested.

Since the 6th grade when we had our own mock election during the 1988 election of George Bush I've always been interested in politics.
My dad was very involved in local politics, even starting a new republican club in our home town. So it's always been in my life, though I have to admit this election has definitely captivated me more than any other.

I became a little interested during the Clinton Bush Election in '92 because that is when I had Government class.
I would say I started watching the political shows and reading more about it after Bush/Gore in 2000.

same is true for me- 6th grade is the first year I remember
BUT- my Dad was a big democrat

Although I have to agree with choice 3, i voted for number 2. i have always followed the big elections, but i have found this one particularly fascinating from the primaries til now.
