POLL: Everyday Dishes - Too Formal?
My mom just gave me dishes that my nanny (paternal grandmother) used to use as her "everyday" dishes. I have a cheepie set of dishes now that I got from Costco ($50 for a set of 8) and now that my mother is giving me these, I'd LOVE to use them.
So, do you think they are too formal for every day use?
I attached a pic of the dishes I'm considering... Just as a comparison, below that is a pic of my formal china - Lenox "Opal Innocence".

ETA: The even BETTER part about this flatware is that my mom is giving me ALL of the matching pieces to go with it - salt/pepper shakers, sugar/cream, larger serving dishes, coffee cups/saucers, and EVERYTHING else you can imagine that my nanny bought to go with it. A woman after my own heart!!! The other set that I currently have came with bear minimum, and you couldn't even get pieces to match b/c they don't make them. Image Attachment(s):

I think you could use them either way...I don't think they are too formal for everyday.

Really!!! I love them!!! I have yet to use them though b/c we don't have a formal dining room... I still need matching fruit/dessert bowls, and a BUNCH of other things...
Is your set complete? Service for how many? Mine is for 12.
