Pool Alarm?
Does anyone ahve them? Muy inlaws have a in ground pool and there is no fence around it. They don't think it is important to get something to go around it, they feel that the kids should be taught to not go in it and learn how to swim. I agree to a point. The thing is there will be 3 kids at the same time running around there, two of the being my boys and I get really nervous.
I was thinking that maybe a pool alarm would be a good idea and I could split the cost with my SIL, who has a one year old son, but I have no clue about the cost.
In the mean time I will get them life vests or something so that they will need to wear them when outside.

Re: Pool Alarm?
I've been looking into them since my two will soon be walking. The alarms are about $200. We have a fenced in yard, but we are also investigating the child proof mesh fence that just goes around the pool and can be taken down for parties etc. That's gonna run s few thousands.

Michelle - do you have Friday's Newsday? Pool alarms were the cover story, and they outlined all of the different types.

Re: Pool Alarm?
Here are some. I think it's good to have some sort of safety feature if they don't want to get a fence. I'd be a paranoid wreck

Yeah I saw that and that is what me think about it again.
I just don't knwo what is the best type. I don't want something that I have to put a bracelet on them, becuase what if we forget or they take it off. I want something that will be idiot proof since I have to trust my inlaws to use it right also.
