pooped so much that it leaks through diaper?

Is there something i can do to prevent this? It has happend 2x, both when I am feeding her.

Is it the diaper not fitting right?

Only twice - you're lucky
DS does this a couple of times a week - not much you can do for explosive poop. Could she need to move up a size?

Is it leaking out the sides or up DC's back? It sounds like you might need a bigger size. Those kind of diapers are always fun to clean

We went through phase where that happened ALL THE TIME with DD. It was insane! I tried different diapers, different size, etc. and nothing worked. It just eventually stopped happening (this was when DD was about 2-3 months old).

I love it how I always have the same issues as you guys!!! I've noticed that we all have 4-12 week olds!

This happens to DS's all the time, also while feeding. I know feeding stimulates it. I automatically feel the top of the back of the diaper for the dreaded dampness when it happens. One day, I had to change his entire outfit each time he went.

I also want to know- Does this mean he's already ready for size 2?

This happened with DD more frequently than I care to remember when she was only nursing. It was up the back - sometimes up to her arm pits!!! We ruined many onesies. I found switching to the next size diaper, even though weight wise she wasn't totally there yet, helped tremendously.

Now that her food is more solids and so is her poop we haven't had a "blow out" for quite a while.

DD did this for a while - we tried different sizes, and brands - nothing really worked - luckily she hasn't done this in the past few months. Try some different sizes and brands sometimes that helps - otherwise just make sure you always have an extra outfit with you (luckily DD only did this at home).

I think it was happening with the 1s.

She is 9lb 4oz

go up a size. Josh's were so bad...I swear up to his ears sometimes

once on a roadtrip! at a rest area! I have never seen such a mess.

I always have him in huge diapers.

Just want to commiserate - happens to me too - On Saturday, she didn't poop from the night before until about 3 in the afternoon! - I changed her into one of my less favorite outfits b/c I knew an explosive poop was coming!
