Poor Bella
We just got in from the emergency vet. DH and I got home at the same time. I let the dogs out in the backyard, Bella didn't come, and DH went to get her. He saw Bella, shaking in her bed, licking her paw. He looked closer, and she was gushing blood. Her nail was at a 90 degree angle. He called for me, I came in, saw it and freaked. DH was holding her and had blood all over him; it was a mess. We decided to go to the emergency vet. They removed the nail. The vet said it's painful but she should be okay. We have no idea what happened or how but the vet said these things just happen. I am so upset that Bella is in pain but grateful that it's nothing too serious. We're going to follow up with our regular vet. Poor, poor Bella. Why do these things happen to my poor, sweet little doggie
