Portable breakfasts...what's your fave to make?

So I'm looking for breakfast ideas that I can take to work, but I want to make it myself. I don't want to spend money buying a bagel or whatever every morning and I don't just want to eat a yogurt and granola bar everyday, so anyone have any other suggestions they'd like to share? TIAChat Icon

I always have fruit in the morning.
You can buy it pre-packed or buy the fruit and pack it in a tupperware, which is what I do. I know you said not just yogurt, but what about fruit and yogurt?

I make breakfast burritos sometimes. Fill a whole wheat tortilla with scrambled eggs or egg whites and add anything you want. I usually do spicy salsa, tobasco, sometimes a little sour cream. You can mix the eggs with chopped veggies like peppers, etc. You can even make a big batch ahead and microwave it at work.

I also like waffles with peanut butter and jelly(make a like a sandwich-make sure you ave coffee or milk for this one!)

Cottage cheese with fruit

You could buy mini pancakes and throw those in a ziplock.

Oatmeal made at work?

I eat whole wheat english muffins with skippy natural PB and either sugar-free jam or sliced bananas.

Have you tried Greek yogurt? It's good with fresh berries and some granola. It's thicker and creamier than regular yogurt.

Also the Jimmy Dean healthy breakfast sandwiches.

I bake during the weekend, a whole batch of lowfat, whole wheat muffins, or a loaf like banana bread, and I bring it to work with me during the week. That, or an english muffin with some margerine.

I frequently bring a hard boiled egg & a piece of fruit or a Luna Bar.

( I can't get more complex than that in the am!)

I make oatmeal at work or I keep a box of cereal and some milk in the fridge and eat that for breakfast. My husband eats hard boiled eggs and fruit.

yogurt and a muffin or cinnamon toast bread
cereal with vanilla yogurt

fruit salad.

I also make coffee the night before, let it cool, then refrigerate at night. add milk and splenda in the morning and yumm iced coffee for my commute.

Re: Portable breakfasts...what's your fave to make?

I like changing it up everyday so I dont get bored. I always bake muffins of banana bread on weekends, so we have that.
I also make these little omelets in cupcake tins and freeze them indivually. In the morning I grab on. By the time I am at work it's defrosted. I microwave for 20 seconds and I have eggs!! I usually put in peppers, onions, alittle cheese sometimes sausage!
I also have Natural PB on whole grain toast, ceral, or oatmeal.
I also always add a fruit.
