Portable DVD Player Question
We are thinking about buying a portable DVD player for travelling and my husband and I are perplexed about something...so go on and help me figure this out.
So if you have a portable DVD player and you are going to use them on a flight thats 6/8 hours long, the battery only lasts about 2 hours, what do you do for the rest of the flight???
Good question right?

Re: Portable DVD Player Question
Can you buy a second battery and have it charged as well? I'm sure he won't watch for 6 straight hours and atleast that will give you double the battery time.

Re: Portable DVD Player Question
They sell longer lasting batteries. I believe I got one that is 6 hours. On a side note we can play the European DVD's in ours. I'm assuming you will be able to play the American ones in yours.

yes, I think my husband is thinking about the multi region one.
Yes, thats a good idea, get a second/third battery. I would hope he would watch TV for six hours straight on a flight, Momma wants to have a nap!

Re: Portable DVD Player Question
I bought the Philips 10.2" Portable DVD Player (PET1002/37) for my husband for part of his wedding gift. The battery lasted about 5 1/2 hours, we watched about 2 movies on the way to our honemoon, then had to recharge it.
I don't believe they sell that model still, however, if you check the batterly life on the new Philips one, it should last just as long. Plus it has a nice big screen.
