Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma where the Waldbaums used to be...
Some guy told us at Stop and Shop last night that they were going to be putting in a Walmart there?
The space doesn't seem conducive to a Walmart's usual size, etc.
Has anyone heard anything about this? Or otherwise? I'd really like for them to put something in there already and not that the world needs another Walmart but that Stop and Shop down the road has become a complete clusterfkk with Waldbaums gone.

I hope not
The traffic on portion is already horrendous as it is.
I find so many vacant buildings on LI that it's depressing. Checkers by the mall went out. How does a fast food place near the mall fail? Especially a chain!
A nice sized trader joes would be awesome - like the one in the city!

That would suck. Maybe they're talking about a Walmart supermarket like they just put in Levittown?

I thought I read somewhere that someone thought it might be a Walmart food market with just food like the one in Levittown, and not your typical Walmart.
