portrait studio ?-updated
Hi - i bought pics from sears when i had dd's pics taken..i sent a pic to costco and they are saying i need to have a paper signed by sears saying its alright to copy these pics..has this happened to anyone? i mean these are the pics that i bought - do you think they will give me a problem? (well dh im too chicked to go lol)
updated - incase anyone else runs into this..i sent dh to sears and for $25 he can buy the rights to these sets of pics..so i had him do it bc it still comes out a lot less paying that and having the pics done at costco then having them make all the copies i needed.

Re: portrait studio ?
UGH!!!! This JUST happened to me last night :( I scanned a professional pic we had taken at Target to Costco and they called me an hour later to say they needed a copywright to make the cards :( Im going to go with a pic I took myself instead.

Re: portrait studio ?
Ladies, perhaps if you take out the studio name or crop it a bit, it'll be okay. I had mine done at KK & cropped out the name & focused more on DD than the background & winkflash printed them no problem.
You are able to reprint the copyrighted pics, but a professional company is not allowed to (ie., Snapfish, Shutterfly, CVS)

How would Costco know if you purchased the CD from the place in order to print your own pics or not?

i hate this policy.... its OUR friggin kids in the pictures... we should be able to do whatever we want with the pics!! i know it makes them lose money when people dont buy big packages and stuff from them but oh well! sorry you had to go through that.. but im glad youre able to save money and still get them printed
