Positive thinking
So I decided for this month to use the Laws of Attraction and see if I get my BFP. I saw "The Secret" and I really believe it makes a difference. Having a positive attitude has made my life so much better in other areas so I figured this month it can't hurt to try it wile TTC. So instead of thinking of when I am going to test or any symptoms, I am thinking of the baby inside of me and my life after the baby is born. I am just starting the 2WW so I will know if it works on April 11

Re: Positive thinking
Yeah they made the movie based on the book. I haven't had the chance to read the book yet, but I really like the ideas they have. It's about the energy you put out into the universe- if you put out negative energy, you will recieve negative things. Try for a day to be nice to everyone you see- it's amazing the response you get!! I've been kinda trying for awhile now and it has really made my life a lot more pleasant Lets hope it works in this case too!!

Re: Positive thinking
I'm all for positive thinking but i think that thinking about the baby growing inside of me during the 2WW would make me convince myself that I actually AM pregnant. then when i ended up getting AF I would be majorly disappointed. I think it's a great idea to think positively but I also think it could lead to some heartbreak later on. you know what i mean?
I would be interested in reading this book though because i could definitely use a little more positivity in my life!

Yup, I definately know what you mean, but in the past I was focused on how disappointed I would be when I got a BFN or when AF showed up- and I was anyway when it happened. So if I am going to be let down, at least I will have enjoyed 2 weeks of living like I was PG. And the basis of the whole law of attraction is that you have to live like you have it and then you will get it- even if it isn't this cycle I know that I will be PG in my future. If I keep focusing on that instead of- why didn't it happen this cycle- it just makes it a little easier to handle.

That is a fantastic philosophy and i totally see your point now. i too spend the entire 2WW trying to convince myself that i am not pregnant and then when i am not i am still disappointed. I think i need to see this movie or read this book!

It's definately worth checking out. And when you start doing it you really do feel better, as crazy as it seems.
The only thing I really didn't like about the book is that it focused a lot on material things, which to me are not as important as happiness overall. But I really like the general idea and hopefully you'll find a place for it in your life too
