My sister lives about 4 blocks away from me in Lindenhurst NY. Her girls were headed to the bus stop this wednesday morning. There was a younger 9 year old boy already there and a man was talking to him. When they and other kids from the neighborhood started walking toward the stop he got in his car and drove off.

They asked him who the man was and he said he didn't know. He said the man pulled up and got out of his car and was asking him questions like his name and where he lived and he offered him candy. When they got to school the kids informed the school and the police came. The man has silver hair and has some sort of mark on his face. He is driving a grey car and they thing that part of the plate was EGG.

Parents have been spreading the word on facebook to be on the look out. I thought I would post it here too because I don't think they are telling the surrounding towns or even other schools in the area. The bus stop was north of Sunrise Highway in Suffolk county Lindenhurst. Please spread the word.

I think they should be putting fliers in backpacks or having an automated message or something, but I don't think they are. I don't know if they are even doing it in my nieces school. I live on the border of babylon and lindenhurst. My girls are very young so I don't know if they are or not but better to be aware. I remember hearing about a similar thing in Nassau county maybe 6 months or more back. I think it was valley stream or franklin square. This is one of those things that just terrifies me and it blows my mind that there are not more announcements.

My sister said the police are taking it seriously. They told them they are looking into local sex offenders and doing searching for the partial license plate. I am just so freaked out that there are people in this world capable of these things.

There was also a possible abduction at stagecoach elementary School in selden.

We got a phone call earlier in the week for Longwood. Someone in a green car pulled over at a Middle Island bus stop, older white male. Police were involved.

Wow, I'm surprised that the media doesn't report these incidents. It just blows my mind.
