possible pan handler - GC post office stewart ave
The GC post office, on Stewart Ave by the mall....
As I pulled in to mail a letter in the boxes the lady flagged me down, said her daughter was in an accident and at LIJ, needed $13 for taxi to go there...
Wondering if anyone has come across this?

It's a scam.
A well known one... They prey on people's good hearts
I had a "pregnant woman" ask for cab money to go to hospital.

I don't trust anyone asking for money like that, ESPECIALLY a random stranger in a parking lot.

I am use to seeing the ones who just say - excuse me , can you spare some money...
This lady presented it that she was so panicked, she claimed she worked at the post office there and could show me her id. I pulled into that parking lot alot recently, and never saw her before, but maybe cause it was a different time...

So why not ask someone she works with then? Or one of them for a lift?
I also am super skeptical because in all my years of working with people in need, very rarely have I seen them approach a stranger for money unless they were on drugs or off their meds or usually both.
