possible symptoms of PCOS?

i'm trying not to freak myself out.
i went to a new electrolysist today.
i have issues w/ hair growth and since going off the pill, i am getting more thick and coarse hairs on my chin (like a man's)

the woman asked me about my menstrual history, my acne (which i have plenty of now- i look like i'm going through puberty again!) and my history of facial hair growth.

she said what i have sounds like it could be symptoms of PCOS-since i have a history of irregular pds, facial hair and acne. when i was 16, i had a cyst on my ovary.

i'm going to ask my ob to test me for it when i see her next month.

Those could be the signs/symptoms of PCOS, but that's not a horrible thing! If you were to go to the dr. at least you're being proactive and on the right track to conceiving!

I finally went to the dr. after a year of not ovulating, come to find out I had horrible PCOS and I had no idea (I didn't have any other signs besides not O'ing) They put me on Clomid and I was pregnant that month....

So hopefully what you are experiencing is nothing and you're fine, but, as I said before, if it was something, at least you're on the right road to fix it! Good luck
