Possible tmi about missing periods
For those of you who dont get their periods regularly...what was the longest you have ever gone without getting one? As many of you know, I have such a problem with this. Right now, I am on my longest streak to date...its been 110 days since my last period :(
I was just wondering, whats the longest you have gone?

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
And I thought I had irregular periods (from 27-40 days once)! I'm sorry that I don't know what you feel, but I just wanted to give you s!
Have you spoken to your doctor about your cycles? Are you on some medication that makes AF out of wack? Have you ever tried birth control, to regulate AF?

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
Have you seen the Dr? My Dr put me on something (I can't think of the name of the medication) I took it for 7 days and it brought on my period (at that time I my cycle was 40 days long...) After that he put me on clomid...
When I first started getting my period I would get it like 3 every 3 months. Before going on the pill 6 years ago I would get it every 35-45 days. After going off the pill my cycle went crazy and I was getting it like every 37 days.

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
I was gonna sk if you had spoken to your dr's too. Thats gotta be rough, such long cycles. There must be a reason why. I know most people have different cycle lengths, but that long seems liek there may be a reason behind it?

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
I used to go almost 4 months between periods when I was younger. It's why my doctor put me on BC to begin with.
During my first year of college I had it once, which I thought was great, but my doctor disagreed.
I would definitely check with your doctor, just to be safe.

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
Ive been to the doctor. She put me on birth control last year in the hopes that it would regulate me. I took it for a year, came off of it in January and havent had a period since. The bloodwork looks fine supposedly and now she wants to send me for an hsg to see if my tubes are open. I have started taking vitex, an herb which is supposed to regulate you but it takes 3 months to start working and Ive only been on it for 6 weeks. I just dont understand what the problem could be.

Re: Possible tmi about missing periods
When I was a teenager I actually went as long as 1 FULL YEAR without getting a period.. between ages 16-17 if I recall correctly
I often skipped as much as 5-6 months at a time during my teen years as well - it was almost shocking when I DID finally get my period, to be honest
In my early 20s I lost a considerable amount of weight after college and my cycles regulated itself out to about every 40-50 days.. VERY regular for me. And then I also went on BC thereafter to keep them regular and for protection purposes
Ever since I've been off BC when we've been TTC, my cycles are pretty wacky again - my longest this past year alone has been 60+ days.. but then they'll go back down to the 40 day range
I KNOW how horribly frustrating this is and I wish I had some answers for you .. if you've had bloodwork done and your doctor is looking into other tests, you are headed in the right direction
Good Luck!
