How long did it take you to loose the baby fat? Also, what did you find that worked?

Re: post body
I found eating loads of Kit Kats and drinking diet coke helped. Oh and breast feeding. that helps too.

My body never recovered...I think even if you do the aerobics and eat well our body just never goes back even if you are the same weight and size. the tone seems to never be the same and those stretch marks never go away....

Re: post body
I am 5 months PP and have lost it all finally. I joined weight watchers and lost a good amount of it. It taught me how to portion my meals and I did really well on it. I went to the meetings because me doing it on my own never works. It will come off, takes time sometimes. We've all been there!

Re: post body
3-4 months I lost the majority of the weight, once I stopped breastfeeding.
6 months or so I got back into my prepregnancy shorts and jeans, for some reason the tops didn't fit anymore though which was wierd because my boobs sure didn't grow.
9 months I felt 100% again and comfortable in my body again
I walked 1-2 miles daily with Jack in the Graco Monster stroller, hauled him around without assistance from my Dh for about 6 months, two military deployments (hence why Dh wasen't around) and oh yeah Hurricane Dennis which spawn a tornado through my backyard all assisted in my weight loss.
Step Aerobics at a gym with free daycare toned me back up and allowed me to get a peaceful shower every other day and napping when Jack napped helped alot.

Re: post body
6 wpp I lost all the baby weight but then i just needed to tone up. I recently started jazzercise again and I really love it. What i did notice is that some of my summer shorts/skirts from 2 summers ago do not fit anymore. Not weight wise, more like my body just def changed hip wise. It seems to have shifted a bit due to the bones in the pelvis widening to enable birth. So even though I lost all the weight, my body will never be the same as it was 2 yrs ago. I was a size 5/6 then and now I am a 7/8. I've accepted the fact that I wont fit into the size 5 clothes and have since given them away to my single friend.

Re: post body
I was back to my pre pregnancy size and weight within weeks... I exclusively nurse so that may have something to do with it... My mom and sister dropped all their pregnancy weight fast too so maybe it's just genetics....

Re: post body
I hate my post body...even 2 years later. I can't seem to get some of this weight off and it is a major source of depression and saddness for me. Some women bounce back in weeks..I didn't. I have always had problems trying to lose weight but this has taken on a life of its own. It is just somethng that makes me cry to be honest.

Re: post body
Without a doubt, breastfeeding works best. If you ate what you would normally eat & breastfed, you would lose tons of weight. If you eat more than would you would normally eat, you'd still lose weight.
I made the mistake of still eating the same when I stopped breastfeeding & gained weight rapidly.

Re: post body
Breastfeeding. And making sure that I cut serious calories out of my diet when I weaned my daughter... that, combined with do-it-yourself house renovations that exhaust my body until 12am, that's how I lost the weight

My problem is that all my numbers are correct for being my pre-prego weight, but I look horrible and feel horrible I was never super thin, but I liked my body. Now I'm just bulgey in my mid-section and look totally fat

Re: post body
I am only 4lbs away from my prepreg weight but it is the way I feel and look that matters to me more. I never had a tummy and now I do and I feel like no matter how many crunches I do it wont make a differnce. My Dh did tell me the other day that I looked alot thinner and was losing some of my butt and he was not happy but of course that made my day.
