Re: Post Interview Thank you-

I always liked the hand-written note. More personal and it stuck out on the pile of letters and mail so I was more apt to read it.

Re: Post Interview Thank you-

Hand written note.
Typed seems impersonal and generic to me.

You send each one a letter, differentiate them a bit, make the "connection" on the letter. CC if you mention the other person and send...fast!! There are TONS of online help sites for these kind of questions. I always google it and end up at monster resources and stuff. Good luck!!

Re: Post Interview Thank you-ok now a twist

When I worked in Personnell we always recommended a hand-written note --- NICE handwritting, and perfect grammar and spelling...

Edited for typos!

I think you are going to get different answers depending on what field people are in. I am in a more technical field and I would say typed business letter, probably via email.

Re: Post Interview Thank you-ok now a twist

I was always told to send a hand written note. Simple, thanking them for their time and on a simple notecard (good cardstock).

This comes directly from several friends of mine who were employment recruiters.

I've gotten both. It never affected my decision either way - as long as it's professionally done & spelling is correct.

Re: Post Interview Thank you-ok now a twist

There are recent articles on this...as recent as this year. It doesn't matter which one you do, what does matter is the promptness. Hence why I said email and fast. TY notes should be sent the same day or day after the interview so that you stay "fresh" in their minds.

Re: Post Interview Thank you-ok now a twist

I have never sent a thank-you letter in my life....and I don't think it's prevented me from getting any jobs.

Personally...if I were to send one...I would type it because my handwriting stinks Chat Icon

I would do an email to both. But because you know them personally, I wouldn't stress so much about formality. But def spell check!! Good luck!!
