Post-Op Results (sorry so long)
Not sure how I feel about all of this yet.
Well, the cyst that we thought was a 6.7cm was actually 7.1cm. We went in for an ultrasound about 3 weeks before the surgery. But my RE says it is normal for measurements to be off. An ultrasound is not always exact so that is why it could be off. He does not believe that the cyst grew that much in such a short time, given my history. It was an endometrial cyst (pathology results were negative for cancer ) and he stripped the cyst wall so he feels very confident that it will not grow back. It maybe that they did not strip the entire wall in my last procedure . Everything else looked good fimbria connect will with the ovaries, cervix/uterus are clean.
So here is the game plan: Because everything looks good Insurance denied IVF. We need to do 2 more Clomid/IUI cycles and if we still have nothing, then we move to IVF. I now have to wait for AF and go in for CD3 ultrasound. If all looks good then we start Clomid 100mg and back to back IUI's.
I feel kind of bummed but I guess the good thing is that we can still move along and not have to wait months to begin again.
Sorry so long, so if you're still reading thanks.

It's hard when things move slowly but it sounds like you are on the right track. Maybe now that the cyst is gone, the IUI will work!

Re: Post-Op Results (sorry so long)
Ahhh the IVF waiting game, how we all know it well. It is so hard to be patient But you are heading in the right direction and are taking positive steps towards your BFP. Yes, IVF does increase your chances, but it is also a LOT more emotionally and financially than an IUI, so i really wish you luck that you never see IVF and get knocked up on your first B2B IUI
Hang in there
Wishing you lots of strength and

Re: Post-Op Results (sorry so long)
Thanks ladies for the support and kind words.
DH and I had a long talk about our next move and have not found an answer yet. Our options are to try natural month (no med/IUI) or Clomid & IUI. I do feel like we need a break from the doctors, testing, scheduling, meds, etc. But then I feel like I am giving up and if we have been doing this we should just continue. Oh boy why is it so difficult.
Thankfully we have 2 weeks to decide on something.
