Post Partum Back Pain~went to the orthopedic for those interested...
the lady that did my x-rays told me that A LOT of women who just had babies come in complaining of back pain
the X-ray went well, everything looked good...the doctor wants me to go for an MRI though just to be safe...he said that is most cases the epidural should not cause any pain afterwards for women, but in certain rare cases, it can cause a cyst and an infection in the area where the needle was!...I'm just really hoping that I am not one of those rare cases!! I really don't think I am, I have a feeling that my back hurts from lifting the heavy car seat and all the other fun things us moms do! I have a history of sciatica so I don't know...but better safe than sorry I will go for the MRI.... so he gave me a prescription for percoset and an anti inflamatory prescription! the percoset is definitely killing the back pain each time I take one and I can get on with my daily chores!! They also suggested a physical therapist, but I barely have time to take a shower, let alone see a physical therapist!! I'm just going to "try" to work out a little on my own! I'm going for the MRI later this week, never had one, wish me luck!

good luck
I had horrible upper body soreness PP, too. I saw a chiropractor for 6 weeks (starting 3 weeks PP) and it made such a difference.
I was contorted in so many ways while delivering my DS (failed epidural), I threw myself totally out of alignment and was getting headaches, shoulder aches, neck pain, etc. After 6 weeks of adjustments, stretches, guided strengthening exercises, I felt great.
