Post-partum clothes
After you gave birth, for how long did you still need maternity clothes? Since the weather is going to be getting warmer, I'm considering buying some clothes for warmer weather, but my baby is due April 28th, and I don't know if I'll be wasting my money buying more maternity clothes (only 7 weeks to go!! ).

Re: Post-partum clothes
I wore some of the shirts for a few weeks ,nothing that looked maternity, just the tees and stuff.
By the time I was 32 weeks I refused to spend one more penny on maternity clothes!

Re: Post-partum clothes
I just wore some pre-pregnancy lounging pants (something stretchie and pull on's....after the c-section, I didn't want to wear my jeans) and maternity tee's ( they were so comfy!!)
I can't believe only 7 more weeks and Hayley will have a new cousin!!! I am dying to find out what the baby will be

Re: Post-partum clothes
I was down to my pre-pregnancy size by 10 weeks post-partum - are you going to breastfeed? The weight comes off quicker usually when you do... I wore maternity clothes only for the first 2 weeks after I gave birth and then I just wore a lot of sweats for a few weeks...

FM!
eta. I wore regular stretch pants with a maternity top afterwards. I'd say 3-5 months I was back in all of my clothes.

Re: Post-partum clothes
I actually only wore maternity clothes for a few days. dH bought me a velour jogging outfit for Christmas that I lived in and I had a couple of others. Since I was staying home, I hung out in knit pj pants and anything with an elastic waist.

Re: Post-partum clothes
I left the hospital in maternity clothes but I refused to wear maternity after that. I lived in DH's t-shirts for the first week or so. After that I was able to fit back into some of my pre-pg stuff. I had no problem fitting back into my pants since I was able to wear pre-pg pants up until late in my pg, but it was the tops I had problems with.
I would say yes go ahead and buy summery loose fitting clothes about 1 - 2 sizes bigger than you were pre-pg. Don't waste money on maternity at this point. The worst thing was the fact that I had nothing to wear post partum. Couldn't wear maternity and couldn't wear alot of my pre-pg stuff. Thank goodness I wasn't really going anywhere anyway.

Re: Post-partum clothes
I wore a couple of the tees and a few of the smaller shirts in the first couple weeks. I mostly loose cut sweaters from pre-pregnancy and some of the in between clothes I bought when i first got pregnant like jeans, pants and sweaters a size or two up from my pre-preggo. i wouldn't buy much.

Re: Post-partum clothes
i am still wearing my early maternity clothes 3 weeks out, everything else is still too tight on my belly - most likely if you still need maternity clothes after, it will be the stuff you wore in the beginning, not the stuff you would buy now at 8 months...
