Post pregnancy weight lost
I was 124lbs before I got pregnant and now I'm 141lbs,so I"ve gain 17lbs so far. I'm almost 31 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure how much weight I will again in the next 9 weeks. I want to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight 2 months after giving birth or better yet my goal is 120lbs. I'm pretty active and have no problems with exercise and eating right, since I pretty much do that now.My fisrt question is; How much weight do you usually gain in your last two months of pregnancy???? The second question is; Do you think its possible to lose that much weight???? Thanks for any feedback.

Re: Post pregnancy weight lost
I usually go back to my prepregnancy weight about 2-3 months after giving birth (and I usually gain about 40-50lbs)...BUT the thing is...that after you have the baby things just arent in the same place as they used to be..it takes the uterus itself more than that to go down to prepreggo size

Re: Post pregnancy weight lost
I'm in the same boat, and have been asking around. I was 125 pre pregnancy and I'm up exactly 20lbs at t 34 weeks, 4 days. I haven't gained any weight in the last 2 weeks despite the baby gaining about a pound.
So far, I've heard of people losing between 10 & 20lbs the week or two weeks after delivering. It does seem on the higher side of those that are breast feeding. My girlfriend had her baby almost 3 weeks ago and she is down 24lbs (gained just under 40 during pregnancy). My dr. swears I'm going to look like I never even had a baby after I give birth...I guess aside from my squishy belly that will need to go back (but he is a man, what does he know?! I'm sure I'll see the weight!)
I guess, look at your arms & legs...have they gained much? Mine have a little, and my face is a bit fuller, but we also have a lot more fluids running throughout our body!
All in all, you haven't gained much so far and I would think you'd be able to lose it in 2 months.

Re: Post pregnancy weight lost
I gained 60lbs with my last pregnancy. (Not that anyone knew. I stand 6'1" so I hide weight well.) I lost about 30lbs w/in the first 2 weeks doing nothing. Unfortunately, if you end up having a c-section, it could take a while before you're allowed to start exercising...or before you even feel like you want to start exercising.

Re: Post pregnancy weight lost
You'll be fine - I started at 122 and I gained 28 with my DD and 21 with my DS and lost all but 6 or 7 pounds when I left the hospital. I was down to my original weight within two months. However, as a PP mentioned, it does take longer for your hips to go back to thier normal size as I was still a size up in pants until about 3 months after I had the baby. Also, this didn't happen to me, but I have heard that some women hold onto the last 5 or 10 pounds until they STOP breastfeeding. You never know excatly how you're body is going to react to all the changes, but if you keep eating healthy and exercising, you will return to a similar version of your pre-preggo body (my bobs will never be the same, SIGH!)

I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight by my 6th week obgyn appointment (I gained about 27 lbs during the pregnancy)... although it doesnt mean that I fit in my pre-pregnancy clothing cause of my hips...
