Pork shoulder or butt Can of Root Beer or Sprite
Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Drain. Shred with fork. Pour BBQ Sauce.
Voila... pulled pork.
I was thinking I already posted the same recipe and then realized I didn't mention the root beer. Oops!
So I got the pork shoulder, onion and BBQ sauce. Came home and was just going to throw it all in. Checked this post and thought crap I didn't see the root beer. So now I'm improvising and a can of wild cherry Pepsi is going in.
Let us know how it turns out!
Will do. It will be my husbands opinion tho,...I don't even eat meat!
Oh no, I'm sorry! I think you'll be fine with the cherry pepsi though. You really don't taste the soda at all in the end. I've also had it with beef broth but I think it comes out better with the soda. Hope he enjoys it!
There are many recipes that actually call for the Pepsi. I've done it with all different sodas.

I know you would never think of Chicken Parm in a crock pot. But I made this a few weeks ago and it was SO GOOD!
Crock Pot Chicken Parmesan
2-4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 1/2 cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese 1/4 t black pepper 1/4 t kosher salt 1 TBSP olive oil 1 egg, beaten sliced or shredded mozzarella cheese favorite jarred marinara sauce
Spread the 1 TBSP of olive oil into the bottom of your crockpot. Beat the egg with a fork in a separate bowl. Mix the bread crumbs with the seasonings and the Parmesan cheese in another separate dish. Dip the chicken into the egg, then into the bread crumb mixture, coating both sides with crumbs, cheese and seasonings. Place the chicken breast pieces in the bottom of the crockpot. Layer 2-3 slices or 1-2 cups of mozzarella cheese on top, depending on how much cheese you like. Cover chicken and cheese with entire jar of marinara sauce. Close lid and cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for 3. Serve with your favorite pasta.
I am totally making this. though I can't even imagine how when the sauce is dumped on the breadcrumbs don't float upward. Sounds soooo easy and I don't have to sit over a Fry pan with the kids. Hope it works. Sounds like it did for you.

Re: Post your all time favorite (easiest and foolproof) crockpot recipe
I do a beef tips with gravy:
1 package stew meat (1-1 1/2 lbs) 1 package dry onion soup mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can beef broth
Put meat in bottom of crockpot. In a separate bowl mix together the onion soup mix, cream of mushroom and beef broth. Pour it over beef and set on low for 6-8 hours. Serve over rice, egg noddles, etc.
Also I do a Parmesan port tenderloin
1 boneless pork tenderloin 2/3 cup grated parmesan cheese 1/2 cup honey 3 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp dried basil 2 tbsp minced garlic 2 Tbsp cornstarch (optional) 1/4 cup cold water (optional)
Put tenderloin in crock pot. Mix together cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil and garlic in a bowl. Pour over pork and cook on low for 5-1/2 to 6 hours.
Remove pork from crock pot and put on a platter. Skim fat from juices and pour juices into a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water together separately and gradually add it to juice until thick (this step is optional. I did it once but my DH didn't like it that thick so now we just eat it as is)

About a tbsp each chili powder, ground cumin, Italian seasoning, minced garlic
Cook low for 8 hrs. Serve with rice, I like to eat it with tortilla chips

Do you have to brown stew meat first or not necessary? Want to make this tomorrow :)

Post your all time favorite (easiest and foolproof) crockpot recipe
I tried this crock pot recipe and my family LOVED it: Chicken and dumplings 4 chicken breasts 2 cans cream of chicken soup 1 can of broth 1 can of water 2 tubes of biscuits - I used Pillsbury homestyle
add chicken to crockpot, mix together soup, broth, and water - pour over chicken. Cook on low. About 90 minutes before serving, take chicken out and shred and put back into crockpot. Also, cut each biscuit into quarters, throw into crockpot making sure to push them into the mix. OMG, so good.

Oh and for a dessert recipe:
Apple Spice Cake
2 cans of apples 1 box of spice cake mix 8 oz of butter
Pour apples into crockpot. Sprinkle cake mix over top. Place butter (I cut the butter into chunks) on top of cake mix. 2.5 hours on high. Scoop out and serve with vanilla ice cream

Probably stupid, but do you bake the biscuits first?

No, don't bake the biscuits first. Throw them into the crock raw. They'll cook with the broth stuff and chicken. They really end up tasting like a dumpling.

Take carrots, celery ,potatoes and onions and put on the bottom of the crock pot...then put an eye round roast beef on top. Pour a can of beef stock on top, then season the beef with salt , pepper , Rosemary or any other Italian seasoning. Put lid on and cook on low for 8-10 hrs...only serve with a fork bc you will not need a Knife! DH loves when I make this. I serve over egg noodles

Chicken chili
1 rotisserie chicken from the supermarket, shredded 1 28 oz can plain tomato sauce 2 cans diced tomatoes with green chiles 2 bell peppers, chopped 1/2 bag frozen corn (I get the fire roasted from TJs) 1 pack chili seasoning
Dump everything in and cook on low 4-5 hours. I serve with either rice or chips and top with cheese and sour cream.
ETA: you could sub canned black and pinto beans for the chicken to make it vegetarian friendly.

Also, I sometimes buy a chicken meatloaf from Iavarone, put it in slow cooker, top with quartered potatoes and a jar of sauce. Cook on low 5-6 hours or 7-8 hours if I had frozen the meatloaf.
