Posting Pics of your kids
First, I know there are always debates on here about posting pics of your kids for security reasons. My views have always sort of fallen down the middle. I do post pics but I am always careful about what else I post re: details.
Anyway, I wanted to share something I experienced makes me think twice.
Many of you know we are looking to adpt a child, well I got an email from someone supposedly looking to place boy/girl twins. It sounded fishy, but I asked for more info. Turns out it was totally a scam, much like the nigerian scans on craigslist. Anyway, this "woman" sent me several pictures of "her" with the twins, in a pool, at the beach, at home. Just like the pics you might see on LIF.
This scammer obviously stole someone's pics and is using them as part of their scam.
I always thought, what could someone do with a picture. Now, I realize. I cant say I wont post pics again, but it does make me more mindful about it, an makes you think more about what you post.

 Good reminder! Ugh! Your post reminded me of the phone calls my girlfriend used to get when she was adopting - as if she hadn't gone through enough

thanks, it didnt bother me, I expect scammers, and this one was pretty obvious.
I just felt bad for whomever's pics these are. I kept thinking it could have been a mom here.

I'm sorry this happened to you
But honestly, doesn't change my view on what I post. I have him in modeling so posting pics doesn't bother me or else I would never have put him in modeling.

Sorry that happened to you. I try to use caution posting photos. I think it serves as a reminder to me that you never know what can happen in cyberspace.
