Postpartum-Odor & Itching (TMI)

I am 12 days postpartum and I've noticed that I have a smell to me. I don't want to say that it's "foul" but it's not pleasant. It doesn't smell fishy or anything but it's still an odor. I've asked my husband and he said he can't smell anything. I only really notice it if I go the bathroom...sometimes if I bend down to pick up the baby I get a smell of it too Chat Icon Aside from that, I am itchy and it still stings (very little) when I pee.

Have this happened to anyone? Should there be smell? I would assume there should be but I don't know what is being classified as "normal" and "foul".

TIA!

Yes, I would say it smells bloody. Not so much like my usual menstrual period though (then again it's been 10mnths so I could've forgotten what that smells like).

Thank you. I'm glad to hear that it's seems normal. I didn't want to call my doctor for any unnecessary reasons.

I hate UTIs. I hope you don't have one. If you think you may have one definitely call before it gets worse.

I think its just the old blood leaving, it can probably cause a smell. Chat Icon
