Pottery Barn Kids PSA & Rant
PSA: if a PBK item is backordered even by just a week, RUN the other way!!! Or add a 3 mos from the time they tell you your item will be in!
I just have to vent because I'm fuming right now and I figure this board is best since you guys can identify with my preggo rage  I ordered a rug from PBK in mid January that was backordered until 2/8. I got notified it was pushed back to 2/21. After that radio silence but no rug. I was told this week when I called, it was pushed to 3/6. TODAY I call and they tell me now its 4/12! They're not even notifying me when it's pushed back!
This happened to me 2.5 yrs ago with DS' dresser and for the first 6 weeks of his life, we had no changing table or place to put his clothes so they were stored in his crib and we couldnt use it. I ordered it in August and got in December  ! I called them everyday and cried about it (gotta love the postnatal hormone changes  )
I know I'm a glutton for punishment for continuing to shop there but I always winding up liking their stuff the best  To make matters worse, I have $2700 worth of furniture sitting in my cart to order TODAY for DS' big boy room and to finish the nursery and now I don't know what to do but REALLY don't feel like finding all new stuff

Sorry, that does stink. I can commiserate We ordered baby's bedding from there, was supposed to be backordered until March, then pushed to April, then May, then June (after my due date). We canceled it and ordered a new one from there (gluttons for punishment  ) that says mid-April, so I'm crossing my fingers 
It's honestly really frustrating. They are a well-established (and NOT CHEAP ) company, I don't understand the problems they have with inventory.

I *think* the same one you got for the nursery but in navy blue (the border chenille rug).
I actually have it in my cart in chocolate brown for Nate's room but I'm afraid to place the order now I have a 10% coupon that expires today so I have to decide what I'm doing. So annoying
At least they are sending me a $75 gift card. I swear I must on their crazy customer list because everytime I'm pregnant I have a huge blowout with them

I'm starting to think it's a scam that they dont tell you the real date so you place the order and then you've waited so long you just ride it out. They cited inventory problems to me yesterday but EVERY time I order a backordered item, this happens. Part of DS bedding keeps getting pushed back too but it's just a pillow sham so I havent made a big deal. Definitely call them and complain and maybe they'll give you a discount (at least knock off the shipping costs) because they have done that with me 3 times now.

Oh crap! I ordered DS's bedding set from there and it is back ordered until april. I thought we'd have plenty of time as I am due in June! Maybe I should start looking for something else

That is completely ridiculous, have you called and complained? I would not be ordering that furniture unless they seriously gave me a great discount!
