The first couple of wks if he was watching TV on one of his little chairs, I would try to slip a towel under him - aside from that I just kept him out of my living room

I rolled up the area rug in the play room and put a waterproof mattress pad on our futon and tried to keep her in the playroom as much as possible or in the kitchen which has non rug floors.
