Potty Training and daycare

So, we started potty training this weekend.

Claire went on the potty 1 out of 4 times on Saturday and the same amount on Sunday. She had 2-3 accidents each day.

Is it okay that I sent her in to daycare with a bunch of undies and changes of clothes, despite her record?

The teachers seemed okay with it, but not very confident.

Shouldn't we just keep on plowing through? Isn't that the way it works? Or, is this a sign that she's not ready?

She just turned 3.

I'm no BTDT expert, but I would keep plowing through. It might be worse to go back on it now - could confuse herChat Icon

BTDT and my advice is to be consistent. Do not let her wear diapers or pull ups....Keep plowing through. It is the key to success!

Good Luck!! In a few days you will have fully trained little girl.Chat Icon

Re: Potty Training and daycare

I think you have to stick with underwear and I will be doing the same with DS this wk. He started over a wk ago but I kept him out of daycare to train. This weekend we went away and I was nervous we'd regress with a new environment but he did great (kept dry the three hour car ride and an entire day at an amusement park!). BUT, I was right there. I am nervous about how helpful daycare will be but know I have to just send him off and pray they are consistent too. They asked for pull ups for naptime which I will send but he has been dry for naps for over a wk so I hope they see this and we can get rid of the pull ups altogether.
Good luck!
