Potty Training Bootcamp at Adelphi
I think I'll be going since Jack has not mastered pooping on the potty yet and I could use all the help I can get!
Potty Training Boot Camp: Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know about Toilet Training _ Parents… Do you wonder how to tell when your toddler will be ready for toilet training? Or worry that it will be stressful and keep your child from building positive self esteem? Helping your child through the toilet-training process may be challenging as a parent. When it comes to this important developmental stage, every child is unique. Some are "ready" earlier than others, and not all children respond to the same approach. If you’ve been confused by conflicting advice from doctors, friends or relatives, then join us at Adelphi University Institute for Parenting’s Parent Coffee with Q and A session for Potty Training Boot Camp: Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know about Toilet Training And learn how to assess your child’s readiness to begin toilet training, hear about helpful techniques and tips for success. Learn how to cope with common pitfalls and setbacks and handle difficulties such as constipation and stool withholding. Success at toilet training leaves both parents and children with that “I can do it” feeling that will be a great foundation for future accomplishments. About the Speaker Jennifer Theriot, MD, FAAP, is an attending physician in general pediatrics at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, NY as well as a pediatrician for Nassau BOCES. Did you try the sticker chart?!?!?!
I'm telling you - after that thread I started here like 3 weeks ago, K is a whole different child!! NO MORE poop in the pants!!
Let me know if you want me to talk you through what I did. Last time I push this on you.

Re: Potty Training Bootcamp at Adelphi
I do want you to talk me through it. I have tried a sticker chart with him before and it didn't work AT ALL.
Right now he knows that he gets a surprise when he poops on the potty. He has gone a few times since I started this and he acknowledged that he gets the surprise right after. He tells everyone he got the toys for going pooping on the potty.
Now I have the next surprise ready and waiting for him - I talk about it all the time but he just doesn't care.
Good thing is he will wait till he's in his pullup at naptime to go...which means we are throwing out less underwear

OMG thank you for posting this. I will be attending. I am seriously at my wits end with this and since it sounds like they will address withholding I am there.

I have to sign up for this. Nothing I do will get Victoria to go on her own. I think Julianne is going to potty train first at the rate we are going. I'm calling tomorrow!
