Potty Training for babies under 2 - some questions for the mommies...
Has anyone had any success potty training before 2? How long did the process take.
DD is 18 months and has showed interest so i've decided to dedicate my time to it - of course some days are better than others and depending on Julia's mood we skip some afternoons, nights of sitting on the potty too....
I don't want to push the issue on her all at once but we are taking it slow and so far she has pee'd a handful of time in the potty -
My problem is keeping her on the potty. Do you give books, anything for child to hold to distract them a bit? Any techiques to share?
TIA

Almost all the latest studies I've read say that most girls aren't ready until around 2.5 years, and boys around 3 years. (Yes, I know there are exceptions, but this is the "norm" based on current statistics). Knowing this, I wouldn't push the issue too much. If they cooperate, that's great. If they aren't in the mood, then I would let it go for that moment.
