Potty training problems..anyone else?

Does anyone else's toddler not even SIT on the potty?

I bought Megan a potty about a month ago. She will sit on it with her clothes on. I let her sit there and look at her books. And she does fine, as long as she has her clothes on.

I have tried putting her on before her bath and she FREAKS out. Ive tried her potty, the seat on the toilet and the toilet itself. She just screams and screams UP, UP! I dont want to force her because I dont want her to be scared but I want her to start at least getting the hang of it.

Did anyone else have this problem? Any ideas to get her used to at least sitting on it. I figure its going to be impossible to train her if she wont even sit on it! Chat Icon TIA!

I too have this problem with Ry. He seriously freaks if I put him on with no pants on.

Michael does the same thing. I figured that I would stop trying for now and then try again in a few months.

Re: Potty training problems..anyone else?

DD will be 2 next week and I haven't ever tried to put her on the potty. My plan is to try to train over the winter and be out of diapers by next spring when she will be almost 3. I read about a book where they say you can potty train in 24 hours...that's my plan! My mom did that with us, and she said it worked, so I'm hoping for the same results.
