Potty Training Question for those with kids in Daycare
DH & I finally bit the bullet and ventured into the world of potty training. Unfortunately, we didn't discuss this with daycare. I don't know what I need to bring to daycare to continue the process beyond this weekend.
Help please.
ETA: I mean besides changes of clothes & underwear. Do I need a potty chair, an insert what???

Check with your daycare and make sure they assist and ask them about the seat. Ours doesn't allow them.

Re: Potty Training Question for those with kids in Daycare
Most daycares have little potties and they start them on a schedule. Definitely let them know - they may want to do a pull up during naptime and be more vigilant on the schedule, as well as anticipating accidents....

Bring an extra pair of shoes and sock! Learned this the hard way but fortunately I was on maternity leave and able to drive over a new set.
Definitey lots of pants and underwear and some pullups for naptime (one hurdle at a time).
Let the daycare know...most put them on the potty every hour but accidents will happen.
Also...baby wipes. Most centers cannot help the kids clean up so the baby wipe will but much more helpful than the toilet paper.

mine has a toddler bathroom. so i just told them that was what we were doing at home and they did it at school as per my instructions. Extra clothes, and pull ups are great as well.

Re: Potty Training Question for those with kids in Daycare
Thanks ladies. I called daycare at 7:30AM to ask questions since I forgot to discuss this with them in advance.
I put her in a dress with leg warmers. Hopefully that will reduce the need for lots of clothes - but I packed 3 changes of clothes and 5 pairs of underwear. Over the weekend, she didn't use more than 3 in a day, so I hope that's enough.
I wish I had been able to read this thread before I sent her off - the shoes and socks is a fabulous idea, and I didn't think about it, and daycare didn't mention it.
I hope it's OK.

Re: Potty Training Question for those with kids in Daycare
every daycare is different
Mine asked for something like 12pairs of clothes, socks and shoes and a heads up.
absolutely NO pulls ups.
My daughter's teacher has triplets of her own who are about a year and a half older than AJ so I feel confident in her ability to let me know when the time is right or to be able to help us if we feel its time.
