PP hairloss-It is out of control
I have pretty thick hair and I feel like thanks to pregnancy I am losing so much of it. I shed all day long and when I wash my hairI am just pulling hair out in the shower. when does this end? How would you know if it was too much and you maybe needed to call a doctor?

mine started at 3mos PP and stopped at 5mos. I lost SO MUCH - my hair feels so thin now  .
I'm taking a vitamin B complex with biotin to boost things a bit.

It's probably normal. Mine is just finally slowing now at almost 10 months PP. I really thought I was going to go bald based on the amount of hair in my brush, the floor, the shower drain. It will slow eventually.

so glad to read this...b/c dd is almost 8 mos and I still lose it like crazy...no bald spots (I check like crazy!) but I can't imagine how not! I have noticed I keep growing new hair but it was starting to worry me....but now I guess I have peace of mind for about two more mos!

I was just going to post about this...I gave birth just over 3 months ago and for about 10 days now, I am shedding like crazy! I can not afford to lose so much hair, it's so fine and limp...ugh! Hopefully it will not last for too long.

I made a post like this too! For me, it started at around 4 months and was crazy! I spent more time in the shower trying to rinse hair off my hands! I'd fill the brush when I did a wet brush and forget about blow drying, my back! And poor DS had my hair all over him all the time! I'm 7 months PP now and it's not bad at all now. I do not recall exactly when is slowed. My hair is normally very thick so I do not miss any of it. No noticable difference.

I swear not a single hair fell out while I was pregnant. Usually I see about 10-20 a day come out. From 3 months to 7 months it was by the handfull. By 15 months it was pretty much all back although some of it a bit short.

i started loosing hair around 2.5 months pp - it was out of control.
im still loosing but not as much as before. im now 4months pp
i actually posted about this bc i thought i was gonna go bald but i was reassured its normal!

Mine was BAD BAD BAD from like 4months- 10 months.
Now it is much better, but I still lose some while blow drying.

It's normal. I have alot of hair too and it got so full with both pregnancies. I would not lose a strand in the shower. After (especially my first) the hair loss was unbelievable I was nervous, but it stopped after a couple of months and then new hair came in... now I have tons of baby hair/whispies that stick up - it's always something!

Same here, and I guess it didn't help when I dyed my hair a totally diff color

I haven't stopped taking prenatals because I am BFing and I am still losing sooo much hair  I hope it stops soon because it takes me forever in the shower now, trying to get the hair off of my hands
