PPD test (for TB) while PG?

By PPD, I mean the tuberculosis test, not Post-Partum Depression.

I work at a preschool and need to have a PPD test every year. I had my annual physical scheduled for today, and got my BFP on Sunday.

I went to the ob-gyn yesterday to confirm that I'm pregnant. I asked a bunch of questions, including whether I can still have the PPD the following day. The Dr. said "yes."

Today, I saw the PA for my physical, and she said that they would not do a PPD unless they had written permission from the OB. I called the office, and they faxed permission over, but it has me nervous.

Has anyone else had a PPD test while PG, especially very early in the pregnancy? Not sure exactly how far along I am (b/c I have long cycles, the OB wasn't entirely sure), but I'm probably just over 4 weeks.

Most places just want the written constent from your ob just to cover themselves. It's just a formality. You need that with most dr's and dentists now because they don't want to make the call and feel that it should be up to your ob. If your ob gave you the written consent i wouldnt worry too much about it.

I had the PPD done but I think I was about 9 weeks.....
